On Sunday November 9 in the afternoon there was a gathering where three levels of the United Church committed to walking with each other and with a new minister during a covenanting service. A covenanting service is kind of like the official start to the journey. In metaphor terms, it’s a little bit like we are finally leaving the house after packing our bags for the last 2.5 months.
