Word association with Chemainus United could conjure many valid responses, but there are two so obvious once you step in the door, you’ll always remember them: light and stained glass! But wait…we’re not talking about Renaissance depictions of biblical stories – we’re referring to suspended ceiling lamps, and windows and mirrors. Longtime congregant and artist, Russ McGee painstakingly transformed the interior over a ten year period such that you ‘feel sanctuary’ and warmth, once inside. Russ’ works, many that were commissions by the church’s memorial fund, affirm that all of us have unique gifts and blessings. Come and see; you’ll be impressed and warmly welcomed!
